Indicative amounts of maximum fines for selected on the spot offences:
- No lights, forgotten documents, poor parking, unused seat belt/ car seat: up to 1,500 CZK
- Holding the phone while driving: up to 2,500 CZK
- Driving through a red light, speeding at 50 km/h or more (urban area 40 km/h or more): up to 5,000 CZK.
If you refuse to pay the penalty on the spot, administrative proceedings will be taken and the amount could be up to 5 times higher.
